Stephanie | Downtown Roanoke, Virginia
I was sick all weekend, but I wouldn’t let a cold stop me from the mini road trip to downtown Roanoke for a fun, casual, and completely unstructured photo shoot that I had planned! I met Stephanie through a modeling website a few months ago and finally we were both available to get together on Monday. Katie of Katie Estes Photography came along too! We wandered around aimlessly through downtown Roanoke for a few hours, none of us really had any idea where we were or where we were going the majority of the time.
Our first stop was Roanoke Catholic School, a building that I have always loved and as a small child thought that it was a Disney castle every time I visited Roanoke with my family. After we found some legal parking, we trekked across a pedestrian bridge over railroad tracks to wander through streets and an alleyway filled with the most amazing graffiti. It was freezing cold, but Stephanie was an excellent sport walking around in shorts. I had so much fun, it had been probably about two months since I did a casual portrait shoot so long overdue. I’m going to make it a point this year to do at least one personal photo shoot per month – which means I will need models so if you are interested, please let me know!
