I met up with little Mr. C and his parents Sunday for a little Mother’s Day portrait session. It was a gorgeous morning at the Virginia Tech Duck Pond with a lot of ducks, geese, and baby ducks who were very hungry for the pieces of bread that he had for them to enjoy. He enjoyed feeding them just as much as they enjoyed the bread, especially when the white duck ate a piece of bread right out of his hand! The whole family had amazing coordinated outfits, I loved C’s little blue and yellow plaid shorts.
Meet little Mr. J. I had the honor of photographing him last weekend and he was the most perfect little angel. He didn’t so much as give me a frown while his photo shoot was going on. The only time he made a peep was right before he fell sound asleep on the nice, soft, furry sheep pelt. Check out the album on Facebook for a few photos not included here.
Baby A just turned one year old! We started out with a couple of Easter portraits of Baby A and her big sister in front of the beautiful spring flowers. The quilt that we used throughout the day was made by their great grandmother, it was so beautiful! After we took the photos in their matching Easter outfits, it was time to get messy. Baby A’s mom bought her an adorable little cake with pink, yellow, and green flowers on it which happen to match her Easter dress perfectly. She wasted no time at all digging her fingers into the tasty treat and gobbling up the flowers. Once she decided she had had enough, Baby A took her baby wipes and tried to help mom clean up the mess. Then on to the metal bath tub for a post-cake clean up… The doll in the tub was made by her great grandmother also.
Happy Birthday Baby A! I’m so glad I got to spend it with you!
Meet baby M at nearly 7 months old. Her mom brought tons of adorable outfits for us to play dress-up with, some of which she had even made along with Baby M’s grandmother. I swear they should start their own business with the adorable fluffy tutu, Micky Mouse bloomers with matching leg-warmers, and the sweet little zebra striped pillowcase dress that they put together. And I think I have a new favorite photo, I love little M’s sassy little peep from under the edge of her Easter hat in the first photo from this post!
We met up on Sunday at the Duck Pond at Virginia Tech for a sweet, Eastery photo session [originally was going to be a 6-month session, but we had to postpone]. There was a good deal of rain throughout the day, but thankfully we only saw a few sprinkles and the overcast weather made the lighting perfect for mid-day photos. The cherry blossoms were starting to bloom even though spring hadn’t officially “sprung” yet and despite the threat of rain it was nice and warm outside.
It is so hard to believe that it has been nearly 6 months since I took little miss M’s newborn baby photos, but it has. I couldn’t believe how big she had gotten when I dropped by on Sunday to take her Easter portraits! Her mom made her the most adorable little pink, green, blue, and purple tutu and matching headband. She had lots of Easter eggs to play with and a yummy chocolate bunny too. Miss M didn’t want to smile while I had the camera in front of my face, but every time I moved it she cracked a big grin. It was like she thought I was playing peek-a-boo, but didn’t know the rules!
Even though we had a warm week, when the day of our session rolled around all of a sudden we were given a rude reminder by mother nature that was, in fact, still winter. We were all shivering like crazy through a snowy tea party, but we made it through somehow! Meet sisters, A and C – whispering secrets, loving their mom, pulling each other along in an old Radio Flier wagon, enjoying a tea party despite the snow, and playing with bubbles on a snowy Sunday in March.
Meet Baby R at 9 days old. I did some family/maternity portraits for her mom not too long ago, but she was the star of this photo shoot! Lets see, baby R’s mom brought lots of adorable little goodies along for her shoot so I’m going to try to make sure I cover all my bases on where things came from. The blue ruffle bloomers and headband are from Sweet Show Bowtique; the brown and blue cocoon and headband were from Sew Sweet; pink sock monkey hat and sock monkey (and the lace wraps from the crying photo) are from Karly’s Kloset; and the tutu with matching brown and pink headband are from tutucutiebows.
Meet sweet little Baby S, 3 months old. I met up with this cutie pie and her mother over the weekend for a mini-session that was so much fun that it turned into a full length session. I rarely have the opportunity to photograph little girls, it seems that I usually photograph boys so when I saw two boxes goodies, one filled with frilly little girl clothes and another filled to the brim with sweet little girly accessories I could hardly contain my excitement! It was so much fun playing dress up with Baby S and she was such an excellent sport through all of her wardrobe changes. Tutus, tulle, pearls, rhinestones, feathers, and bows – I even got a chance to try out my brand new lace from Karly’s Kloset that I had gotten in the mail a couple days earlier.
Meet adorable Mr. Baby N at 7 days old, Big Brother B, and their loving parents. Baby N was such a sweetheart, he loved snuggling up in my sheep pelt, it was so cozy. I loved Big Brother N’s red sweather with elbow patches, I have one that’s very similar actually.
Meet Baby J and the rest of his gorgeous little family! Last weekend we fought through the cold and a little bit of rain to take some pictures at the duck pond on the Virginia Tech campus. Even though the weather wasn’t great and little Mr. J had been awakened from a nice car nap to take pictures, he was still in excellent spirits. Being relatively new to the area, it was the familie’s first trip to the duck pond and Baby J was a huge fan. He thought his mom’s homemade cinnamon raisin bread was a little too yummy for ducks and ate some for himself.
