A couple weekends ago we finally got the snow storm that I had been praying for all winter long. We bundled up my son, packed up my 35mm Canon Elan IIe and went for a walk around the neighborhood. I didn’t end up taking any digital photos during the snow so I had my fingers crossed that the photos would come out alright and thankfully they did! You never know what you might end up with when you are using expired film. This is part 1 of 2. There were too many to share in one post. I think the last shot with the icicles hanging from the snowy swings is my favorite.
Meet the Shepherd family! This is another one of the holiday mini sessions from this weekend taken at Wong Park in Blacksburg. Thankfully things warmed up a little bit for us Saturday afternoon so we were only cold when we hung out in the shade for too long. Little Mr C was quite a character with a multitude of silly faces to share with me. He took charge of our shoot and tried to pick out the very best locations in the park for us to take photos so he could move on to playing on the slide and swings.
Meet the Patel family! They are so great, I have taken maternity and baby photographs for them in the past year also. They were one of the families that I photographed at Wong Park in Blacksburg over the weekend as part of my holiday mini sessions. It was freezing cold outside even though it isn’t really noticeable in the photos. Baby A’s little teeth were even chattering so we had to get through the session quickly. I love how coordinated their outfits were with festive touches of red!
